when did it become okay to treat every paying customer like they’re a criminal as soon as they walk through the door?

it’s like, ‘fuck off already’ with this being constantly observed, recorded, categorized and indexed at every conceivable location in my life (work, school, roadways, shops, even neighborhood doorbell cameras) without my consent and without a say in how my data is used.

and NO I will NOT give you my email, my biometric facial data, or my fucking phone number just to buy a pack of gum or look at a website.
