The big difference is you know you will die and they don’t. Also it’s not the dying part that is the most terrifying. It that part just before, were you are struck helpless and unable to take care of yourself for months or years. All the time, modern medicine keeps you live, but doesn’t cure you or stop the pain. Then there is the needles. Oh my god, so many needles.

I watched it happen to my parents and grandparents. Now as I’m looking 70 right in the eye, it’s hard to control the panic.
