That’s how 95% of the video game industry works. It’s all contract based.
If you complete the project and the game has terrible sales, your contract runs out and you need to find another studio to work for.
If you complete the project and the game becomes a record breaking smash hit success, your contract runs out and you need to find another studio to work for.
