Grimy@lemmy.world 1 week agoThat’s the comment that inspired this!! That and a passage inone of Cormac McCarthy’s book where one of the villains says “If it bleeds, it can be butchered” while speaking about a young girl.

I think the villain said “She”, which is far less dehumanising but of course makes the quote, referring to the girl being ready for sex as soon as her period starts, no less horrifying
