Comment on Back in my day it was ok to receive a paddlin (simpson ref there) at school as a kid. But on the flip side it was against the law to beat a paddle a prisoner by a guard, why the rule difference?

prisoners are a labor asset- damage their ability to output and you’ve damaged the profits. kids don’t make anybody money by being healthy.
