I’ve seen random episodes of ghost in the shell and cowboy beebop when I was maybe 10-12. I’m not necessarily against anime I just dont watch much TV in general and I think I’m particularly picky with anime. I wouldnt want anything taking place in a school, silly, weirdly animated or ultra slow.

Fullmetal is a classic but from those two you might look at psychopass, ghost in the shell(old movie) or Frieren first.
