Life when you fully understand gender and sexual orientation is a completely made up concept. You just need to be the true self and embrace that life is short and be confident to express your feelings.

Out of curiosity, if itâs all completely made up, how would you explain the fact that people across different cultures and time periods consistently report similar patterns in sexual orientation? That suggests thereâs something deeper going on than just social invention.
That said, I completely agree with you on being authentic â I just think the âcompletely made upâ part might be a stretch

Its a construct made up based on the needs and perceotions of primitive peoples. Id explain it the same way id explain patterns/similarities/trends in mythology and language across cultures that had no contact. That doesnt make it ârealâ any more than âmamaâ is the true word for âmotherâ

Not sure that analogy quite lands. Words like âmamaâ are arbitraryâyou could change them and nothing real changes. But sexual orientation isnât just a label, itâs describing consistent patterns in who people are attracted to, and those show up across cultures.
I think itâs more like colour: the boundaries (like where blue becomes green) are kind of made up, but the spectrum itself is real. Same idea hereâthe labels can vary, but the underlying experience isnât just invented.

It comes up a lot in a lot of languages because its a very easy combination of phonemes for a human tomake even without much motor control. Parents like to think baby is talking about them.
