Much as i dislike cryptobros in general one feature Nostr has implemented well is the ability to “zap” tips to posters in small amounts like 5 or 10 cents, which is probably 10x or 100x more then any corporate advertising network would pay for ad views. 

Personally i cant tolerate ads at all, its a hard line for me, i consider advertising offensive, but im more then happy to send a few cents or dollars to individuals just for putting out quality content.
