Martyred? No, they just get killed. US managed to kill more civilian in one day than Russia and Ukraine together for an year.

In other cultures, the word martyr carries very different meanings. These children’s families and communities consider them to be martyrs.
In the context, I think its entirely appropriate to adopt language which reflects the cultural background of the victims, and it’s frankly quite insensitive of you to be quibbling over usages.

It just English. Martyrs die willingly for their cause. These poor souls just die; they have not been given a choice. They are victims not martyrs

Even taking the Roman Catholic definition (i.e where the word martyr comes from that’s completely wrong.
These two categories are not mutually exclusive.
You come across as the sort of person that would berate a grieving parent for referring to their dead child as a “little angel”.

Berate? Why do you come to this conclusion? Does it matter to parents whether they call the child a “martyr” or a “victim”? In both cases the child is dead?
