@weirdwriter I'm not attempting to make a statement about whether blogs or mainstream press are more credible / useful / ... on this subject. It's just that I'm interested what the mainstream press writes, and I figure maybe others are, too, that's all.

@J12t @fediversenews Why not personal blogs? Ironically personal blogs are the very type of content I would be looking for rather than main stream media coverage

@J12t Would you happen to know of a similar community that is a repository for everything? Independent blogs as well as media coverage? On Kbin or Lemmy?

@weirdwriter Was just pointed to @Stripey 's wiki here: https://codeberg.org/fediverse/fediparty/wiki/The-fediverse-on-the-web

@weirdwriter @J12t @fediversenews Observing what is being published by the main stream media is an important thing for monitoring mass adoption.

@caiocgo @J12t @fediversenews Yeah, but If it wasn’t for independent media, those audiences would’ve never heard about this place or otherwise so by excluding independent media and independent coverage, your ironically preventing mass adoption in a way because the reporting for people that could find use in the technology but nobody has reported to their case needs yet. If it was a repository for everything involving the Fedi, including independent media along side news media coverage, I could recommend it easier as a one-stop resource for a lot more people. I think that mass adoption is talking to the people that might not even appear in the main stream in the first place

ActivityPub does have a blog system. Its very plan though. This is out of date but should give you an idea of just how big ActivityPub is
