It could also have something to do with the fact that, for a 20 year old person, none of the games in the series that have come out during their lifetime have been the fan favorites. Even amongst die-hard Final Fantasy fans, you don’t get people losing their minds over FF XIII the way they do for VI, VII, IX, or X.
