Completely agree. To be clear, I very much respect Rednecks. I do not respect Elon. He is a genuinely worse person than the most exagerated and derogatory punchlines of those jokes.

FlyingCircus@lemmy.world 6 days agoRednecks were originally the coal miners in Virginia who fought the oligarchs in the battle of Blair Mountain. They wore red neckerchiefs to identify themselves. As with most leftist icons, decades of psyops have perverted the term.
All that to say, it is insulting to rednecks to compare Elon to them.
