It’s just ingrained social norms/taboo. Evolutionary psychology would probably say something about how being unprotected in the ancestral environment made you at risk of predators or something and so that’s why you feel exposed, or how being vulnerable to other people’s gazes makes you feel judged or self conscious, but it’s probably just a puritan-influenced nudity taboo
