Not sure why this is getting downvoted. The message is spot on. Neoliberalism leads to fascism. This isn’t some crack-pot conspiracy theory…it’s a direct chain of cause and effect created by neoliberal economic policies.

When you deregulate the economy, and allow the ultra wealthy to control more and more of the market, they will eventually consolidate their holdings in the form of monopolies. This concentrates enormous amounts of capital…and all the power that comes with it…into a very small number of hands. The entire system is designed to create oligarchs.

Is it really that surprising that the very same people who ruthlessly exploit labor for their own individual benefit, would eventually attempt to seize power more directly? And why would they have any issue at all manipulating the working class into supporting them, and / or violently oppressing those that refuse?
