Example: the old DnD games like Neverwinter Nights and Baldurs Gate, I’d start a game by console commanding a Light/Lore (scholar iirc) ring and a stack of identify scrolls. You could argue that mod use is cheating, in the same sense that console commands are. That would mean almost everyone who has ever played Skyrim is a cheater alongside everyone who modded out Inquisition’s beige pajamas before BioWare added an alternative.
