Oh dear.
My WhiteBoy was allergic to the sunscreen I tried on his ears. Baked himself constantly. Eventually got a nose spot, but left for other reasons before the vet thought it necessary to treat. Best wishes to you both.

I read the email with Melbcat’s blood results and her kidneys have improved but the specialist is saying that the lesions may be in situ carcinoma. So they might have already turned cancerous without spreading deeper than the skin yet. I’m trying to stuff down my emotions and just remain upbeat as possible but spent last night bawling and panicking. Going through old pictures the first spot seems to have visibly appeared in January ‘23 (and I thought it was cat acne from not being allowed to wipe asthma medication off her face, then just a booger or a scab) so while actinic keratosis is slow to spread or or turn it’s had ample time before I realised what it was. Deeply regret not buying the pet sunscreen years ago when I was going to. I’ll also have to be mean and stop her sunbathing at the window. The Aldara cream may still be effective if the spots are cancerous, as long as they’re very thin and surface level, but it’s important that she can’t lick it off. There’s also the chance that the cream causes too much irritation and another treatment has to be pursued. I’m really scared. ___

So many hugs.
Of course you are scared, you love her.
I do, she’s basically my child.
I’m sorry this is happening to the both of you 🫂❤️
Thanks 🖤
Nothing to add to the other comments except I am crossing fingers and toes for you and mebcat
Thank you :(

may be. Don’t start panicking until you find out for certain.
You don’t have to stop her sunbathing, you can get at bunnings window films that will block UVC.
