Comment on Assuming a button that, every time you push it, your intelligence goes up. The obvious and sane thing to do is to push the button all day. Yes? No? Maybe? Is there something that I'm missing here?

  well ya, at some point you would probably decide that pushing the button was no longer the thing to do, as you traversed various “intelligence levels”, each with their own particular philosophy and conclusions.

    Once you're in the top 0.1% it's probably safe to go outside and just lord your intelligence over everyone you meet.

      Whatever your level of intelligence there will (probably) always be a higher level from which your present level looks like the dirty and clumsy suffering of a gimpy rat. So you gotta go forward until… I guess until the very concept of intelligence is washed away by the blinding light of your intelligence.
