AlpacaSama@lemmy.blahaj.zone 10 months agoMy PopOS is almost OOB setup, and I barely touch desktop mode on my steam deck, I guess I’m used to having a taskbar on the bottom tough ( even if I love the PopOS app launcher )
I was curious on trying hyprland, but It seems nightmarish to setup :c

Have you tried gaming on Pop yet? I’ve heard it works pretty well. I went with CachyOS to replace my last Windows box since games were the only reason I kept it around. Not absolutely loving Arch/Pacman yet though…

I mean, my ThinkPad is not the beefiest machine; I’ve played some Minecraft on it, and it went great. 😂
But I’ve heard it’s a very nice distro for gaming. In the end, I went with a Debian-based one because I have some experience managing Ubuntu machines. Maybe someday I’ll try Arch, who knows? :)
