Day 1/30 of Side-by-Side Straightember

• Lather: Stirling Soap Company – I, Rich Moose (sub-exclusive sheep tallow)
• Post Shave: Sir – Irisch Moos
• Fragrance: Sir – Irisch Moos

I have a blind experiment lined up for this month: I’ve sent @whosgotthepudding@sub.wetshaving.social two identical razors. They were only distinguishable by marks I’ve made on the tail. He has honed one on jnats and one on synths and I don’t know which is which.

I’ll be trying both extensively over Straightember and hopefully develop a preference. Then Pudding will reveal which it is.

Starting with the razor with one mark, I used it as is, i.e., without stropping. I can immediately tell why u/whosgotthepudding has his reputation. This edge is delightful! Sharp and smooth, the razor glides through the stubble. I’m looking forward to trying the other one with the same setup tomorrow.
