Comment on It actually doesn't look that bad tbh
iamtanmay@wolfballs.com 2 years agoOh yeah, people can eat it, that's fine.
I just don't want to be in a square mile radius when it happens
I'd rather be a vegan

I would eat bugs over being vegan. You really have to eat bugs if you are vegan because they infest vegan foods. I'll post a video from Ken Berry on the nutrients of bug eating.

The occasional tiny bug in a hundred kilos of rice is one thing... a dish of insects is pretty disgusting to me.
Maybe seafood lovers would be ok. They look similar

I think rice is ok, bread has the insect problem. Bread factories have thousands of crickets just eating and dying in the dough. Rice is probably better for you than bread for a few reasons. Mostly modern agriculture practices.
Baby wasp are supposed to be really tasty like shrimp. And I actually think they would have been a pretty normal snack for early humans so it is evolutionarily consistent. It's just pretty dangerous to get them.
While we hunted wild ruminants we would have stopped for honey, baby wasp, crawfish. Crickets seem like a waste of my fucking time. If i'm looking for high calories for the least amount of work.
