Comment on Government slammed for giving fuel poverty advice via Amazon
0x815@feddit.de 11 months agoI respectfully disagree. Rather than changing politics after decades of austerity, the government provides advice for energy savings through a device by Amazon, a company that spies on people and pays practically no taxes.

If this is what it takes for you to realise the government doesn’t care about you then fair enough I guess, but they haven’t done anything egregious here

That’s not the point. I think that it is generally a bad idea if any government collaborates with such companies. So I agree that it’s a detail and there are issues of higher importance, but a government shouldn’t act this way.
