you know having uneducated right wing extremists is not exclusive to america. Every country has idiots. The educated, normal immigrants donât vote far right and tend to not be mentioned in any news.

Itâs a misconception/misrepresentation that they are more uneducated or idiotic than average. They may look like it (or the media make them so), but actual idiots wouldnât be as capable as they are to push their agenda forward.

they also tend to learn language and integrate more easily, because, you know, they arenât far right lunatics

Thet benefit by feeling closer to (what they imagine is) their culture. Weâre talking about people who left for some quick cash and ended up spending 30, 40 years there. They have a daughter thatâs born there, grew up there, and never lived outside of there, and they worry sheâll be sad when she has to break up with her boyfriend âwhen we all move back homeâ. They feel like theyâre separated from their nation because they are, and psychologically deny this by voting for someone so rabidly and loudly nationalist they can hear him all the way in Frankfurt.
Itâs similar to folks from, idk, Boston, who will occasionally vacation in Ireland and conclude âtheyâre not Irish at all over there, they donât even paint rivers green on St. Pattyâs!â
