    yeah. actually I do care about the ecosystem but I don’t think messing up everything is the best way of fixing stuff. I’d much rather electric trains carry the bulk of transportation than simply stopping all transportation

    if you want to ‘save the world’ while stopping

    • chip manufacture
    • the internet (because the world needs new chips often)
    • Lemmy (because no internet)
    • food (because less agriculture from other countries) <-- which we all want (no shipping = no avocados, no Indian spices)
    • medicine <-- which we need
    • the majority of jobs <-- which we really need

    then go and try, but don’t be surprised when no one is in favor of your insane plan

        or do you want the internet to disappear because no chips are being made? you don’t want Lemmy to exist? wow

        and at the same time you would want to cost everyone their jobs?
