kmacmartin@lemmy.ca 3 weeks agoThat’s crazy, it sounds like a whole business! I guess there are probably more costs and risks associated with live streaming that warrant the income stream, compared to uploading a movie to some torrent tracker.

It’s just that someone at some point is just casting their TV screen/stream. Some of the more professional ones will cut away from the adverts and show filler, but for the most part, they don’t have time for that during live events.
