pelespirit@sh.itjust.works 11 hours agoI bet they’re focusing on the old.r users, they’ve been wanting to get rid of that for awhile. If they shadowban you and leave on your own randomly, there won’t be another mass exodus. That’s conjecture though.

Anecdotally that fits my experience. I’ve refused to use new Reddit at every turn (save the app where you have no choice), and I got permabanned yesterday despite no real escalation in my rhetoric. I’ve always spoken my mind and let fascists and conservatives know exactly how low I think of them, and until about a month ago none of it had copped me even a temporary ban.
