When they changed the houses galvanised pipe over to copper someone thought keeping the galvanised riser for the front garden tap was a grand idea. Galvanic corrosion
Bit of a warning sign that the previous administration might have cheapskated out of other plumbing problems.
The house is 63 years old, theres gonna be dingers.
