I did that about 10 years ago, me and my brother spent Christmas by changing tapes cutting videos and naming the files. In the 90ies my dad bought a camera and we filmed a lot for a couple of years and it's awesome to have the videos. There are so many people there who are dead now, pictures are great but on a video you see how they moved in a particular way, how they spoke and how they interacted with each other, it's amazing! I recommend everyone to record their parent and grandparents just doing boring every day stuff like cooking or just drinking tea or cleaning the yard.
